Burton uses a “closed-door” approach, meaning there are no explicit scenes, but instead a strong focus on emotion, connection, and the building of trust, which makes this story feel especially warm and genuine.
In ‘Forever Yours on Christmas Eve’, readers get a heartfelt glimpse into the life of someone in a relationship with a marine, along with all the uncertainties that come with it. At the same time, Kelsey struggles with her studies and the pressures they bring. Family, love, and the realization of how precious time is form the red thread throughout this story.
